The Arena Estate Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
The Arena Estate Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced with native Sicilian “autochthonous cultivars” more resistant to unfavorable climatic conditions and weeds. Our organic olives are harvested by hand when the degree of ripeness is perfect. They under go cold extraction on the exact same day in which they were harvested, in order to obtain the best Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, rich in aromas and nutricious quality.
Organoleptic characteristics: The Arena Estate Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil has a delicate hint of green tomato and artichoke and a final hint of freshly cut grass. The aroma is complimented by the bright green colour of the freshly crushedoilwhich over time takes on golden reflections.
Its extraordinary qualities are testified by the natural richness of vitamin E and the very low degree of acidity, more over it is characterized by its delicate taste and so it is alsosuitable for children’s diets.
Recommended pairings: soups, toasted bread, roasts, cheeses, grilled meats, salads and fish dishes, whose flavours are naturally complimented with there fined taste of this quality oil.
The Biancolilla èis a Sicilian cultivar, one of the oldest in use, whose olive trees are two to three meters high, always green and very long-living. The name derives from the colour of the "white" and "lilac" ripening drupes, the olive is oval and has a pistachio green color before ripening and purple rose when ripe.
Organoleptic characteristics: medium-intense fruity flavor, herbaceous, with hints of tomato, artichoke and almond. To the taste notes of spicy and bitter of medium intensity. Yellow in colour with green reflections and medium fluidity.
Recommended combinations: with soups, toasted bread, roasts, cheeses, grilled meats, vegetable dishes, salads and fish dishes, whose flavours are naturally complimented with the refined taste of this quality oil.
The New Drop
La Nuova Goccia (The New Drop), is oil made with the first olives of the new harvest, immediately crushed and bottled to retain its precious oils and its lively fragrance, Unfiltered and not decanted in order to preserve natural antioxidants. Its colour is green, the scent should be intense and strong with notes of fresh grass, while its flavour is full- bodied. La Nuova Goccia oil, fresh from the mill, is ideal to satisfy the most demanding palates, perfect for lovers of an extra virgin olive oil with a full-bodied appearance and a strong and intense taste.
Organoleptic characteristics: yellow with green highlights, it has an intense scent of freshly cutgrass and green tomatoes. On the palate it is soft and full-bodied, maint a iningall the characteristics of freshly picked olives.
Recommended combinations: use raw on bread, to season a seasonedcheese, on redmeats and game.
The Fruity Extra Virgin Olive Oils
The Fruity Extra Virgin Olive Oils the result of the selecting only the highest quality olives, harvested when they are not yet fully ripe and pressed at the beginning of autumn. It has fruity and spicy notes of the Southern lands. This oil is appreciated in particular by those palates that prefer stronger flavors.
Organoleptic characteristics: yellow with green highlights, it has an intense scent of freshly cutgrass. On the palate it has a particular bitter /spicy taste, perfectly balanced with hints of apple, almond and artichoke.
Recommended combinations: use raw on bread, on peppers and freshly grilled courgettes, on sliced beef, to season a seasoned cheese, on toasted anchovies, on grilled meat and in particular for every recipe inspired by Mediterranean cuisine.
